Jen, So in "Hand," where are these natural tones flowing toward? Does each color carry a symbolic reference? I am curious to follow the "expanse of blue ink" and find out where it leads us on the page. The verse intrigues me as always. Keep the muse alive! Ttys
Hi orangfiz--where they are flowing is up for grabs. Each color is earthen--tan for a sandy beach, green for trees, blue for the sea. There's a lot of elements here--air (breath), earth (hand, beach, trees), water (sea). There is more of the poem to come, and what follows might answer your question about where the tones may lead!
